The world renowned Godiva Sisters continue their annual tradition of a procession through Coventry City Centre.
New for this year is a wreath laying ceremony in the Cathedral Ruins as a commemoration of the Lady Godiva, and the anniversary of her death on 9th September 1067.
Community groups, businesses and schools are invited to create their own wreath (ancient or modern) to be placed in the ruined sanctuary in commemoration of Lady Godiva. Then the beautiful, colourful Godiva Sisters procession with banners, traditional costume, music and umbrellas along with Lady Godiva and her multi faith, multi cultural sisters, school children and communities will process to the Lower Precinct for a display of music and dance to inspire us today.
